Taste of Pinellas, once one of the county’s biggest concerts, is making a comeback after a 12-year hiatus. Organizers announced that Old Dominion, an eight-time Academy of Country Music and seven-time Country Music Association “Group of the Year” winner, will headline the event on February 6. Andy Grammer, a pop songwriter, will also perform at the concert.
The concerts are included with tickets, which will be available to the public on Friday, October 30. This will be the first time Taste of Pinellas will be held indoors, at Tropicana Field. The festival has been revived to mark the 100th anniversary of Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
Taste of Pinellas has a long history, having been held for 26 years at Vinoy Park. The once annual event was canceled in 2013, citing low attendance and the “changing landscape” of the local entertainment industry. Other artists that have played at Taste of Pinellas include the Blues Brothers, Third Eye Blind, Dashboard Confessional, and Colbie Caillat.
Another artist is yet to be announced, and the lineup will be completed in the coming weeks.
